Experion has signed a new deal with a global Logistics Solutions provider, who supplies transformative end-to-end supply chain management and logistics services for its customers. Based out of the United States, the client has over 60 warehousing location across 6 continents, an extensive network of international and domestic (US) transportation assets and 20 million square feet of storage under ownership.

The client’s main pain point was the aggravating condition of drivers in the trucking industry due to congestion at docks and uncertainties over detention and demurrage charges.  Facing an acute shortage of drivers, it became important to look at innovative solutions to overcome these challenges.  Experion has partnered with the client to develop a cloud-based platform solution capable of integrating shipment tracking and direct driver messaging with real-time data on warehouse congestion and docking status. The solution will leverage the power of technology by using a combination of in-transit tracking and offsite parking, along with real-time scheduling, to ensure effective coordination between the warehouse operator, shipper, broker, carrier and the driver.

The application will also manage warehouse parking and traffic issues through effective scheduling and yard management. It would seamlessly connect truck drivers, carrier dispatchers, and warehouse operators with the client’s operations team. The overall solution suite comprises a Web platform, Android and iOS applications, and a web-based back-end for managing the system.
