Experion has inked an agreement to build on-demand e-commerce and delivery fulfillment platform for a startup in the MENA region that connects shoppers with retailers, merchants, independent sellers, and drivers. They are committed to offering the easiest, fastest, and most affordable on-demand e-commerce store with same-day delivery.

The startup is owned by one of the largest business conglomerates in the MENA region – they have been in business for the past 60 years. They have worked with over 15 million customers in construction, logistics, transport, and media, investing in the key drivers of their regional economy.

Team Experion will roll out the e-commerce platform in phases to ensure a faster go-to-market and gain the early mover advantage.

Our experts will collaborate with the client to identify and streamline business objectives and lay down strategic action plans and a detailed roadmap during the discovery phase. Then, design, development, testing, and deployment will be carried out in the subsequent phases.

The project’s complexity lies in the use of complex GIS algorithms to dynamically allocate service areas for stores/sellers to optimize delivery time and fees. On completion, the on-demand e-commerce and delivery fulfillment platform will enable stores to manage their stock information and process orders with flexible options for store pickups & delivery or through the client’s services. In addition to this, the platform will have features to include group shopping & shopping lists, personal in-store pickups with live interactions & the choice of doorstep delivery with various payment options. Thus, this on-demand e-commerce platform will deliver a unique shopping experience, where grocery shopping will no longer be a tedious process.

Building a custom e-commerce platform makes sense for companies that operate in highly regulated industries with complex hierarchies. They are the go-to if your business sells over complex selling channels – for instance, a multi-channel e-commerce platform can also enable selling for B2C and D2C. It is also preferable over a readymade e-commerce solution, as most COTS solutions don’t integrate with procurement, accounting, and other commonly used systems.
