Experion has signed a deal with a $700 million engineering and construction service provider headquartered in Florida to develop a cloud-based estimation software. The client offers design-build, design-assist, and construction solutions for their customers across the United States.

The client currently uses conventional tools for project estimation. With the current system, the client faced challenges such as scalability, user collaboration and approvals. This process is long and involves several manual operations, often moving upto a million records using Excel macros and Access databases. The client’s current system also had limited scope for collaboration, and struggled to cope up with the growing needs of the business.

Therefore, the client decided to collaborate with a technology partner to develop a cloud-based estimation software that would save them time and effort, and be better suited to meet the challenges of a dynamic market.

As part of this engagement, Experion’s team of Business Analysts, Architects, and Data & Cloud Experts collaborated with the client team to finalize the objectives and requirements and lay down the project action plan. The envisaged cloud-based estimation software will be capable of handling about 0.5 to 1 million records in just a fraction of the current processing time and include Microsoft Power BI  embedded in it to provide deep analytical insights and ensure an excellent user experience.
