Experion Technologies hosted the first “Annual Meet” of Atlassian User Group (AUG) Trivandrum at hotel Karthika Park on March 14th, 2019. The event was attended by around 70 representatives from different companies in Trivandrum and provided a platform for the community to network and share knowledge. Experion is the ‘local sponsor’ of the Atlassian User Group Trivandrum Chapter.

Atlassian Corporation is an Australian enterprise software company that develops products for software developers, project managers, and content management. It is best known for its issue tracking application, Jira, and its team collaboration and wiki product, Confluence.

Atlassian User Groups (AUG) are meetups where Atlassian product users, get together to meet and share practical useful information on their experience of Atlassian and project management in general. Users often share best practices, see real life use cases, discuss pain points and its resolution in these meetings. AUGs even grant access to the Atlassian product team and be part of its product development story.

As part of the anniversary event, a panel discussion was conducted on the topic “The relevance of knowledge sharing platforms with in the technology community”. The panel members for this discussion included:

2) Cipson T – Agile Coach at Allianz

3) Deepu S Nath – Managing Director at FAYA

4) Jithesh Pillai – Senior QA manager at Oracle

AUG Trivandrum Chapter kicked off as a small meetup of Atlassian users in March 22nd, 2018 at Experion’s Trivandrum office. Experion hosted eight AUG meetups since then and saw a steady increase in members from different IT companies in Trivandrum. At the first year anniversary, the number of people attending the event has tripled in number, with many active participants from companies such as Oracle, Allianz, QBurst, IBS, H&R Block among many others.
