Experion Technologies has completed the migration of SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online for one of the largest non-bank retail mortgage lenders in the United States.

We proposed the migration of SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online after assessing the technical requirements and evaluating  the different migration possibilities. Based on the initial discussion, our team identified that, unlike typical migrations, this would be a pure development project with the only aspect requiring migration being the data involved. The team also recommended customizations in addition to the regular migration steps. They proposed the creation of a framework and standard components that act as catalysts for migration and development.

Experion re-engineered all existing custom features to SharePoint Online equivalent models using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) , Microsoft Power Platform, and other OOTB solutions.  PowerShell automation was used to reduce manual effort significantly, and Sharegate was used for the content migration.

The project also involved the migration of Intranet portal to the new generation Community Hub. The newly launched community hub enables users to access information with ease, connect and collaborate with cross functional teams and source policies and documentation.
